I love MDS

Have I told you lately how much I love My Digital Studio (MDS)? Because I really do you know?

Yes, I use it to make scrapbook pages, complete albums and even cutie pie tiny mini albums and swatch books. BUT, I also use it for so much more! I make greeting cards and gift cards when I need something quick (and always unique). Have you ever wanted a card that said something 'uncommon' such as "I'm really sorry that your cats are such assholes and knocked the one pretty thing that you own onto the floor and smashed it and now you're having an awful day"?

Really?

You've never needed a card that said that? Hmph. Some friend you are.

Well, if you needed a card that said that, you could definitely make one. It might look a little something like this...

I've also used it to make decorations for a baby shower (so simple it's ridiculous), Valentines (how many Scooby Doo Valentine cards does one class really need?), recipe cards, labels for my household crap organizational needs, posters, invitations, flyers, calendars (Walmart and Shutterfly have got nothing on me and my pal MDS), place cards, labels for buffet tables, name tags....oh man...I use it for everything that I need to create.

I love it so much!

And every Tuesday, there is more MDS content made available to us. Today, there's some gorgeous ones. Look how pretty this kit is. The download includes everything you need to make all of this (and the ability to change the colors of it as well).

Celebrate the season of love with some lovely new downloads. Don't miss the FREE February desktop calendar. And if you are planning a wedding this year (or know someone who is), get started with the Love More Ensemble and create invitations, table decorations, favors, guest book, thank you notes--everything you need to do more for the big day. Since you're using MDS 2, you can even customize it to match your color scheme.

Look what else is new today

You can download a free trial of MDS and check it out. When you're ready to purchase, there's a couple of great options for you. And if you purchase My Digital Studio this month you can get FREE digital downloads from the Sale-a-Bration flyer.

My sister in laws have been emailing me photos from our little vacay (since my camera is a piece of crap and makes me cry daily...take today for instance, I was intending to make a page with my oldest kids birthday pictures--his birthday was Sunday-- so I stick the card in the computer slot thingie and look at the pics....and NONE of them turned out. NONE. How is a mother supposed to document the life of her babies when her camera is a piece of crap? Huh? How? ) so I thought I'd pull one out for this page.

Head to my online store to take me up on this limited time offer

Best of Stampin' Up!

This year marks a huge milestone at Stampin' Up! - it's our Silver Anniversary! 25 wonderful years of sharing what we love and loving what we do! I've been blessed to be part of this wonderful company for over 10 years now and I'm so excited for what this special year will bring for all of us.

So to kick off our 25-year anniversary celebration, we’re bringing back some of our favorite stamp images from the last quarter century and combining them into 12 sets, which will release—one set per month—during 2013. Even better, along with some great classic images, each “Best of” set will also include a never-before-seen image!

If you miss one of the offerings don't worry - you can order past ones anytime throughout the year. Each set will include 3 - 5 images with one image being a new release!

January's set is called Best of Birthdays and you can purchase it now for $17.95.

And it gets BETTER - there is a frequent buyer card! For every six Best of stamp sets you purchase you will earn a free set (value of $17.95) - just add your stickers to your collector card and when you have six you send it to Stampin' Up! to redeem for your free set!

Each "Best Of" stamp set will only be available in clear mount so you will need acryllic blocks. If you need help deciding on what size please just ask me for assistance.

I'm Paper Pumpkin . . .
I come to your door each month (a fully decked-out creativity carriage). I'll help you to escape your life with some paper fun.
I come in a sweet box, but you'll really love what you find on the inside:
All the stamps, ink, paper, and accessories to create pinable projects. Create stuff like cards, journals, décor, and more!
Paper Pumpkin by Stampin' Up! is a new monthly kit program that anyone (even you) can enjoy!

Every month a new, surprise project kit arrives at your doorstep. Just think of the anticipation of creating a fun project to pin, showoff, and share with your friends and family-every month!
Of course, you'll want to know more. So here's the nitty gritty:
  • Each month we send you a unique, surprise kit with a project-cards, journals, décor, and more! (We've even color-coordinated, measured, and cut everything for you!)
  • Each kit includes stamps, ink, paper, and accessories-everything but adhesive.
  • Each kit gives you a 30-minute creativity escape.
  • We will ship your Paper Pumpkin on or around the 15th of the month.
  • You need to sign up for a kit by the 10th of the month to get that month's kit. If you sign up on the 11th of the month, your first kit will come the next month. (Let's say you sign up on May 10th, we'll send your kit around May 15th. If you sign up on May 11th, we'll send your first kit around June 15th.)

Starting in early March, you can try Paper Pumpkin for one month by visiting our online store.

A Free Gift in Your Very First Kit

The Welcome Kit is the very first Paper Pumpkin you will receive in your first month of membership. The Welcome Kit includes a free gift-a clear acrylic block!
So head on over to www.mypaperpumpkin.com to sign up today! Don't forget to select me as your demonstrator!

Dude! You're welcome!

I love how Stampin' Up! is always coming up with clever new things.  They have recently been creating and trying out a new project with the express purpose of encouraging men to stamp. According to the Design team:

"Initially, those on the project (mostly all dudes) were skeptical. I mean, what man would be caught dead with a stamp in his hand? One guy on our team even said that “stamping a card would be like getting caught wearing lady’s underwear.” We definitely had our work cut out for us!"

Guys don't always have the easiest time expressing themselves, but with the Dude, You're Welcome! kit, they'll have

  • Four wood-mount stamps (double-mounted) with the perfect sentiment for every occasion
  • Twelve 4" x 6" postcards in four different (manly) colors
  • Twelve gray envelopes
  • A Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad
  • An instructional guide (for the most novice stamper!)
So right here I am trying to put in a picture of what actually comes in the kit. But Blogger is being a dick this morning. I guess you're just going to have to visit my online store and have a lookyloo yourself.

Basically, the kit includes everything a dude needs to create the perfect manly card that any woman would adore, all packaged in an appropriately masculine box.

Happy Birthday to me!

It's my burfday!

The kids are back in school.

The house is quiet.

My Scentsy burner is making me smile with its lovely smelliness.

Ima gonna be makin' meself some sushi for lunch.

Going out for a FREE gourmet supper with The Hub tonight.

Had a lovely night with my besties last night.

The cat is barfing on my carpet. Balls. That wasn't supposed to happen.
Oh well, another day in the life of me.

So for my birthday this year, I bought and gave all of my sisters a copy of the same cookbook --- Taste of Home Appetizers. It's 256 pages of all of the things that make my heart sing (aaaaaannnnnd work harder to pump blood through my veins but it's my burfday). My birthday wish is for us to gather once a month and bring something we made from this book...essentially cooking our way through the book while enjoying each others company.

last night we had Mushroom Puffs, Gooey Pizza Dip, Potato Nachos, Spinach and Cheese stuffed Mushrooms, Spiced Tea...some sweet things...all kinds of wonderfullness.
So, for the packaging...I used a bunch of retired paper, but the idea is all still the same.

The stamps, punches and Framelits are all current! Have fun!
